- Is the song really about them, or a template with a name dropped in?
- It is written from your answers. You say who it is for, what the occasion is, your relationship, and what they are actually like — the habits, the sayings, the things they will not throw away — and the lyrics are written from those. Their name is sung, not spoken over a stock track.
- How long does it take?
- Minutes, not weeks. You hear the opening of your own song while the rest is still being recorded, so you know what you are buying before you pay.
- Can I hear it before I pay?
- Yes. The first verse and chorus play free, from your song, not a demo of somebody else’s. Nothing is charged until you decide.
- What if I do not like the song?
- The Little Ditty includes 3 free changes and the Big Ditty 12. Each one writes and sings it again from the same answers — you can also edit the answers first, or ask for the same lyrics sung again if it is the performance you want changed. A Quick Ditty is written and sung once; unlocking the full-length recording also opens up extra takes.
- What is the difference between the three, really?
- Length and how many goes you get. Every one is a complete song written about the same person from the same answers; the Quick Ditty is about 60 seconds, the Little about 2 minutes, and the Big runs the full song and ends by signing off from you by name.
- I bought a Quick Ditty — can I make it longer?
- Yes, and instantly: the longer recording is already made, so unlocking it costs $7.99 and there is nothing to wait for. You keep the shorter one as well — both stay on your order and you can play either.
- Do I get the file, or just a link?
- Both. A 256 kbps stereo MP3 download, a shareable link, and the personalized e-card the song arrives inside.
- Can I change the card as well as the song?
- Yes. The Quick Ditty lets you draw up to 3 different card designs, the Little Ditty 10 and the Big Ditty 30, and you can buy more if you want them. You can also pick any design from the gallery, free, on any tier — and write your own message on it.
- Are there subscriptions or hidden charges?
- No. You pay once for the song you are making. There is no meter running, no monthly fee, and nothing renews.
- What if the singer gets a name wrong?
- Tell us how it is said before it is sung, and we will spell it out for the singer. If a take still is not right you can have it sung again.
- Can I use the song publicly — at a wedding, on social media?
- Yes. What you buy is a commercial-use licence for the recording — play it at the party, post it, broadcast it, use it however you like. It is yours to keep, share and perform.
- Who actually sings it?
- A licensed AI music engine, and we would rather say so plainly than let you find out afterwards. The lyrics are written about the person you name, and the voice sings those lyrics, including their name. Nothing is stitched together from a stock track, and no real artist is imitated.
- Can the song be in a language other than English?
- Yes, 48 of them, from Welsh and Irish to Hindi, Tagalog, Arabic and Japanese. Pick the language when you write the brief and the lyrics are written and sung in it, so a grandparent hears the song in the language they actually think in.
- Can I choose who sings it?
- You can ask for a female voice, a male voice, or leave it as surprise me and we will pick whichever suits the style you chose.
- Is my song private, or does it end up on your website?
- It is private. The only way a song appears anywhere public is if the person who received it is asked afterwards and says yes, and even then they choose whether their name shows. Nothing is published from your order without that.
- Does the person receiving it need an app or an account?
- No. They get a link, they open it, and the card plays. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, and it works on a phone.
- Can I have it arrive on the actual day?
- Yes. Write it whenever you like and schedule the delivery for the morning of the birthday, the anniversary or the wedding, and it goes out then.
- What if I send it to the wrong email address?
- You can send it again to the right address from your order page. The original link keeps working, so nothing is lost while you sort it out.
- What quality is the audio?
- A 256 kbps stereo MP3 at 44.1 kHz — the full-quality recording, not a preview file. It is the same audio on every tier: the Quick Ditty is shorter, not thinner. Put it on your phone, play it through a proper speaker, keep it.
- How long do you keep my song?
- Indefinitely. We do not delete songs on a timer, and there is no window you have to act inside. Download the MP3 whenever you like, but you are not racing us for it. If that ever had to change we would tell you first and give you time to save a copy.
- How long does the link last?
- It does not expire. They can play it years later, download the MP3 to keep, or print the card as a keepsake.
- Can I hear real ones first?
- The Showcase plays hundreds of them the whole way through — every occasion, every music style, nothing cut short. Anything a recipient published themselves is there with their permission.
