A patchwork quilt in mustard yellow, mint and cream squares is stitched with looping quilted lines, and two old-fashioned ornate keys rest on a ring in a patch of warm slanted sunlight. The shadows of a windowpane fall diagonally across the fabric, giving the whole scene a quiet, late-afternoon stillness.
