A vintage botanical study shows four dried plant specimens taped down against a pale, aged background, their long slender roots and wiry stems curling like handwriting across the page. Some clusters are still green and grass-like, while others have withered to brittle brown tangles, all lit softly against a shadowed vignette that fades to black at the edges.
